The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Friday released a video of Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik doing exercises at his residence.
In the video, the 72-year-old chief minister--dressed in black t-shirt and grey lowers, is seen cycling and lifting dumbbells at Naveen Nivas, his official residence.
"Getting ready to fight for the people of Odisha," Patnaik says at the end of the video in an apparent message for his political opponents.
Naveen Patnaik, who is seeking a record fifth term as Odisha CM, helped BJD win an overwhelming majority in 2014 Lok Sabha elections. In 2014, BJD had won 20 out of the 21 Lok Sabha seats and 117 of the 147 assembly seats.
In Odisha, Lok Sabha and Assembly elections are scheduled to be held simultaneously in four phases on April 11, 18, 23 and 29.
