The number of confirmed Coronavirus cases worldwide has crossed over 634,000, among them 29,957 fatalities. US President Donald Trump said the death rate in the US could reach its peak in the next two weeks and thus extended the social distancing guidelines. Italy, one of the worst-hit countries may also extend the lockdown as the death toll continues to rise in several hundred every day.

In India, the positive case tally has reached 1071 with a death toll of 29. The country is under a 21-day lockdown till April 14.
