A BJP ally in Rajasthan has added another twist in the ongoing political crisis in the state and alleged that former Chief Minister and BJP leader Vasundhara Raje is aiding her rival CM Ashok Gehlot to stay in power.

Rashtriya Loktantrik Party leader Hanuman Beniwal wrote on Twitter that Raje called up Congress MLAs close to her and asked them to support Ashok Gehlot and keep a distance from Sachin Pilot who has raised a banner of revolt against the Chief Minister.

"She called every Jat MLA in Sikar and Nagaur and asked them to maintain distance from Sachin Pilot. We have proof of this," Beniwal wrote on Twitter.

Pilot was on Tuesday sacked as deputy chief minister and the state Congress president after he did not show up at the Congress Legislature Party meetings. Two other ministers in the Pilot camp were also dropped from the Cabinet.

After he was sacked, Pilot clarified that he was not joining the BJP and put to rest the speculations that were rife ever since the fresh crisis erupted in the state. However, he has yet not revealed his next move.

On Thursday, Pilot and his loyalists moved the Rajasthan High Court challenging the notices from the Speaker over a Congress move to disqualify them from the state assembly.
