On any given day of the week, you can open up Instagram, and the first thing you see might be@gastronomicjournal's eye-catching posts. Shubhra Paul Banker, the gastronomic journal's creative talent, is building up a silent storm in the food, travel, and lifestyle influencing the industry.

With more than 72 thousand followers on Instagram and making 3 million impressions a week, the gastronomic journal offers hotels and restaurants a spread of services to help increase their traffic. Leveraging the power of social media in today's day and age while maintaining a public journal and enjoying tasty food, Shubhra managed to hit three targets with one stone.  She has helped local street food vendors and mom and pop eateries grow and blushingly admits that that is the best part of her job.

Recently moved to Mumbai, Shubhra can be spotted all over the city, clicking and tasting the most popular, unique and diverse delicacies that are on offer. She has been invited to hundreds of restaurants, and the list of happy customers keeps on growing. There are even plans to host a 'Food Walk' in the city soon.

"Shubhra comes up with out of the box ideas, and we invariably have fun executing them. She is a wonderful friend, and I enjoy collaborating with her every time," says Parth Bajaj (PlatedbyParth), India's fastest-growing home baker and influencer. Wherever she goes, she effortlessly leaves a lasting impression, and her enthusiasm speaks for itself!

Shubhra believes in making friends and helping others through collaborations. She even holds private 'Sip and Talk' sessions to discuss and advise individuals about social media marketing and a career in influencing.  Here she teaches people how to take appetizing photos and the basics of editing for maximum reach and effect. "The best businesswomen across the world are those who can communicate well, understand the client's needs and be on top of their game at all times. Hence, marketing and advertising your brand plays a big part in reaching new customers and leaving a good first impression but offering effective and innovative services will ensure satisfaction. Only through effort, innovation and selflessness can one attain the best results," believes Shubhra.

Like many engineers who later became bankers, Shubhra decided to pursue social media marketing and influence after interior design. "The idea is to follow your dreams mindfully and make the best of your natural talents and creativity." That way, you can always learn to make a living doing what you enjoy and do best.

Shubhra started an event called 'The Initiative'. She donated her time and effort and fellow volunteers to provide home-cooked nutritious meals to the needy. The excess, weighing tonnes, was distributed to animal shelters across her hometown. "From the day I was introduced to Shubhra, I admired her enthusiasm and knowledge about food, but it was her helpfulness and fun-loving attitude that made us friends." quotes Karan Dua (dilsefoodie), one of India's top food influencers.

The gastronomic journey Shubhra Paul has been on since 2018 was inspired by her enormous appetite and taste for global cuisine! Having amassed a decent number of followers and a collection of food pictures, she decided to take the leap of faith and turned her Instagram page into a daily journal! Consistently creating class content, she now has a network of followers and friendships across the globe. Lastly, she opines that "It's not about always being right or perfect. Find yourself and give it your best shot. If I can do it, so can you."
