15:32 hrs IST: That's it. Thank you for joining us!

Virat Kohli (Player of the Match) - "As I said a couple of days back, it's getting the responsibility of being captain. If you go out planning a double hundred you won't get it, but if you go out planning to bat for five sessions, the double hundred will come. Earlier, I would think more from a personal point of view, but thinking of the team, all that pressure doesn't come. (on early career) sometimes you play to prove people wrong but I'm at the stage of my career where I'm just happy to be where I am. Putting the team in a commanding position is the only thing I strive for. Of course I enjoy scoring runs, but if they come in a winning cause, nothing like it. You have to look forward to facing the new ball in the morning. I really enjoy batting with (Ajinkya) Rahane. When we have a partnership we invariably take the game forward. We take a lot of pride in contributing when the situation is tough."

Faf du Plessis - "We know in the subcontinent your first innings is really important. The runs you put on the board gives you a chance. But the way India batted, especially Virat (Kohli) with 250, it takes a lot of mental toughness. Two days in the field can wear you down. Especially that second evening, the batsmen were a bit weak in the mindset. From then it's playing catch-up. We were found wanting in this Test match. As a captain you try and think of ways how you can change fields and bowlers, but all the questions we threw at him, he had answers for. He (Kohli) was too good. The hunger stood out, it was great value for us as batters. He wasn't satisfied with 100, 150. (Seamer instead of spinner) I think it was the right decision for this pitch. Vernon (Philander) and Kagiso Rabada created some pressure first up but we need another bowler who can add the pressure. Unfair to expect a young fast bowler making his debut to come in and do everything. That's what India do very well, they bowl well in pairs."

14:59 hrs IST: WICKETS! Umesh gets Rabada, while Jadeja removes Maharaj. That's it. India win by an innings and 137 runs, seal series 2-0. Their 11th consecutive series win at home. No. 1 team for a reason! Dominating stuff from the hosts. They have handed South Africa a thrashing. Kohli opted to enforce the follow-on this morning and the bowler proved his decision right.

14:52 hrs IST: OUT! Poor delivery from Umesh, straying down leg, Philander wants to hit it fine but gets a faint edge. Saha moves across to his left well and takes it easily. Kagiso Rabada comes to the crease. South Africa are 185/8

14:10 hrs IST: That's tea. South Africa 172/7, trail by 154 runs. Philander 29*, Maharaj 17*. Jadeja removed both Bavuma and de Kock this session before SA's first-innings batting heroes once again showed character. Join us in 20 minutes!

13:43 hrs IST: Wonderful over from Jadeja. A maiden! South Africa are 147/7. Philander 18*, Maharaj 3*

13:30 hrs IST: Forty-five runs and two wickets off the last 60 balls. South Africa are 145/7. Philander 18*, Maharaj 1*

13:19 hrs IST: OUT! Back of a length delivery from Shami, angling in from round the stumps, Muthusamy looks to defend but fails to keep the bottom-hand loose and Rohit Sharma takes a very good catch at second slip. India three wickets away now! Keshav Maharaj comes to the crease. South Africa are 129/7

13:07 hrs IST: OUT! Tossed up from Jadeja, Bavuma is drawn into the drive, but it turns, clips his outside edge and Rahane displays super reflexes. He had to react quickly and he did. India are four wickets away from wrapping up an innings victory and the series. Vernon Philander comes to the crease. South Africa are 125/6. Drinks are on the field now

13:03 hrs IST: Bavuma is showing good intent. With Philander and Maharaj still to come, he can aim for a big innings. South Africa are 125/5. Bavuma 38*, Muthusamy 9*

12:48 hrs IST: SIX! Fraction short from Jadeja, Bavuma rocks back, makes space, and pulls this over midwicket for a maximum. Eight off the over. South Africa are 112/5. Bavuma 27*, Muthusamy 7*

12:34 hrs IST: Only nine runs off the last 30 deliveries. South Africa are 88/5. Bavuma 10*, Muthusamy 2*

12:19 hrs IST: OUT! De Kock goes for the slog-sweep but his middle-stump is shattered. Sharp turn from outside off on a length. The South African wanted to smack it over midwicket. The Proteas have lost half their side. They are 79/5. Senuran Muthusamy comes to the crease.

12:14 hrs IST: FOUR! De Kock goes for the drive, but gets a thick outside edge to the wide of second slip for a boundary. South Africa are 78/4. De Kock 5*, Bavuma 2*. Jadeja to continue.

12:11 hrs IST: All set to restart. Ashwin to bowl. De Kock on strike

Antoine Griezmann's integration at Barcelona has been "difficult" but the Frenchman will justify his signing if given time, according to teammate Arturo Vidal. Griezmann joined Barca from Atletico Madrid in pre-season, costing the Blaugrana €120million after a protracted transfer saga. Griezmann's largely ineffective performances have been widely criticised, with many expecting more from him than the three goals and two assists in seven La Liga outings. READ HERE

11:31 hrs IST: That's lunch. South Africa 74/4. The visitors are staring at yet another big loss here in Pune. Elgar and Du Plessis offered some resistance before Ashwin removed both batsmen to keep India on course. We'll be back in about 35 minutes. Stay tuned!

11:25 hrs IST: OUT! Tossed up from Ashwin, outside off, Elgar aims to loft this over mid-on, but the ball dips and spins to deceive him. Slices up off the outer half and Umesh runs to his right from mid-off and clings onto the catch. South Africa (71/4) in all sorts of trouble. Quinton de Kock comes to the crease.

11:18 hrs IST: OUT! A quicker delivery from Ashwin, outside off, Du Plessis looks to play for the turn but gets an outside edge. Saha stayed low to catch it on the fourth attempt. There's a reason why he's rated as the country's best keeper. Temba Bavuma comes to the crease. South Africa are 70/3

11:04 hrs IST: FOUR! Full from Jadeja, width outside off, Elgar hits it away to the right of Ashwin at extra-cover. South Africa are 64/2. Elgar 42*, Du Plessis 5*

Steve Smith's ban on leading Australia ends in March 2020 but will the star batsman may not want the Test captaincy back, coach Justin Langer says. Smith led the team until he was suspended for 12 months over a brazen attempt to alter the ball with sandpaper under his watch in Cape Town last year. Part of his punishment included a further year-long exile from any leadership role. Calls have grown for Smith to take over from Tim Paine when the ban is lifted since his incredible batting performances helped Australia retain the Ashes against England. But Langer said it was not a simple decision, with Smith admitting his exploits -- 774 runs in just seven innings -- left him mentally and physically shattered.

10:56 hrs IST: Ten runs off the last 30 balls. South Africa are 59/2. Elgar 37*, Du Plessis 5*

10:43 hrs IST: Solid over from R Ashwin, just one off it. South Africa are 55/2. Elgar 37*, Du Plessis 5*

10:40 hrs IST: Fine first hour for India. South Africa have lost two wickets and are fighting for survival. Elgar (37*) and Du Plessis (4*) are going good so far and their first target will be to continue in the same manner for the next few overs.

10:28 hrs IST: FOUR! Full ball from Shami, outside off, Elgar opens the bat face and drives through point. Shot! Costly over from the Indian, 12 off it. South Africa are 47/2. Elgar 32*, Du Plessis 3*

Mohammed Shami comes into the attack

Daniil Medvedev reached his sixth consecutive ATP Tour final at the Shanghai Masters and will face Alexander Zverev in Sunday's showpiece. The Russian continued his stunning second half of 2019 with a battling win over Stefanos Tsitsipas in his semi-final match. Zverev, meanwhile, followed up his quarter-final win over Roger Federer with a more straightforward last-four triumph over Matteo Berrettini.

10:13 hrs IST: Nice and tidy over from Umesh, only three off it. South Africa are 29/2. Elgar 15*, Du Plessis 2*

10:01 hrs IST: OUT! Magnificent take from Saha flying to his left. De Bruyn is disappointed. Umesh had strayed down leg and the Protea No. 3 looked to glance him fine, but Saha dives and does the rest. And it's Faf du Plessis at No.4, not Temba Bavuma. South Africa are 21/2. Elgar 9*

09:51 hrs IST: FOUR BYES! Umesh tried to bowl the inswinger, but gets the line wrong and also the extra movement didn't help. Too far down leg for even Saha to collect and runs away to the fine leg boundary. South Africa are 13/1. De Bruyn 8*, Elgar 1*

Meanwhile, former England head coach Andy Flower is to leave the England and Wales Cricket Board after 12 years. Flower, a former captain of Zimbabwe, was in the head coach role for five years between 2009 and 2014. England won THESE MANY Ashes series and the 2010 World Twenty20 during his tenure, and reached number one in the Test rankings in 2011.

09:41 hrs IST: FOUR! Length ball from Umesh, it straightens just enough to catch the outside edge of De Bruyn. Lucky! The fielder at gully - Ajinkya Rahane - has no chance. South Africa are 9/1. De Bruyn 8*, Elgar 1*

09:35 hrs IST: OUT! What a start for India! Full and straight from Ishant, and Markram (0) is struck on the pads. Was it going down? The umpire raises his finger after a big appeal. Markram and Elgar think about reviewing, but 15 seconds are up. And replays show that ball would have missed leg stump. Theunis de Bruyn comes to the crease. South Africa are 0/1. Umesh Yadav comes into the attack.

09:30 hrs IST: Time for live action. Dean Elgar and Aiden Markram are at the crease. Ishant Sharma to open the attack.

This is the first instance of India enforcing follow-on against South Africa.

09:17 hrs IST: India are enforcing the follow-on. So there you have it, South Africa will bat again.

Bharat Arun (India bowling coach) - "I think they (pacers) have been exceptional over the last two years. They have risen up to the occasion and done a very good job. Each one's strengths are different, Umesh is good with a new ball and Shami is good with both (Old and new). The wicket has been pretty placid and their tail batted well yesterday. There is some wear and tear. Depending on what kind of rough, we decide about spinners choosing ends. Ultimately, yes we do decide earlier but the decision is taken on the field mostly. The bowlers are pretty prepared and they have hadsufficient rest, so they are ready to go."

09:05 hrs IST: The big question is - will India bat again or make South Africa follow-on? We'll get to know about Virat Kohli's decision in the next 15 minutes.

Keshav Maharaj - "It's (shoulder) very sore. On Friday, I dived on it so lot of bruising. But hopefully I'll be fine for the rest of the series. (On his partnership with Philander) Vernon and I said to ourselves that we'll just get through to tea and see after that. Being a lower order batsman your fingers do itch to play a big shot but Vernon kept me in a good mind space. I sat with Prasanna (analyst) last night and look at the gameplan for me going forward. I wanted to stay outside off stump to spin, I tried to stay legside of the ball for Jadeja. We saw Shami got the ball to reverse, and the wicket is deteriorating, but the longer you bat the easier it is."

08:44 hrs IST: Hello and welcome to Outlook's live coverage of the penultimate day of the second Test between India and South Africa.
