Gayatri Joshi and her husband Vikas Oberoi were on a vacation in Sardinia when they met with a car accident.
'Swades' actress Gayatri Joshi and her husband Vikas Oberoi met with a car accident in Italy. Reportedly, the car accident left a senior couple dead. Gayatri confirmed to Free Press Journal that she and her husband were doing “absolutely fine” post the accident. Gayatri and Viks were on a vacation in Italy and as per reports, their car collided with several cars and a camper car which led to the death of the Swiss couple who were in a Ferrari.
Reports state that Gayatri and Vikas were in a Lamborghini when the accident took place. The Lamborghini and the Ferrari were trying to overtake a camper van, simultaneously on a narrow road in Sardinia. One of the cars hit the van and consequently got overturned and later the Ferrari caught on fire and killed the passengers, Melissa Krautli, 63, and Markus Krautli, 67.
The tragic incident occurred during the Sardinia Supercar Tour, which features a luxury car parade from Teulada to Olbia.
The actress confirming the news of the car accident to Free Press Journal shared, “Vikas and I are in Italy. We met with an accident here (multiple-car collision).. With God's grace, we both are absolutely fine.”
Talking about Gayatri, she was seen in Ashutosh Gowariker’s 2004 movie 'Swades' with Shah Rukh Khan. In 2005, she got married to Vikas who is a businessman and the have two kids. She and her husband were spotted at a get-together with Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan last year.
