TV Artists Reminiscence Their Best Summer Vacations

As the temperature keeps rising day-by-day this summer season, Preity Sahay, Yogesh Tripath and Rohitashv Gour speak up about their fondest childhood memories of summer vacations.

The summer season often brings out a sense of nostalgia about the summer vacations they had during their childhood, and the actors are no different! Reminiscing on their summer holidays TV artists walk down memory lane and talk about their best summer vacations and the memories attached to them.

Have a look:

I have some beautiful memories of summer vacations. I am from Lucknow, and vacations would mostly be spent there with my cousins, staying in the vicinity. We would spend most of our day together, playing, laughing, and doing all sorts of mischief; nothing could stop us, not even the scorching sun during the day. I remember that in the afternoon, we used to make cool drinks, fill them with ice, and hide them from our parents, as they used to stop us from consuming too much ice. Hence, whenever I hear summer holidays, it instantly takes me back to the amazing time I spent with my cousins playing outdoor games like hopscotch, badminton, hide and seek, etc. Even after spending the entire day together, we would dread going back home and would throw tantrums for us to have an extra 10 minutes of game time. Ah! Those were the days!

My summer vacations were spent in my hometown, Uttar Pradesh. My parents expected me to spend my vacations reading and studying. I would do that from time to time, but as the family troublemaker, I would rush outdoors to spend time with friends (giggles). Our village had a pond where I used to swim with my cousins and friends. We spent the entire afternoon there, followed by a visit to our mango orchard. We used to go mango picking and compete to see who could get the most (laughs). My mother used to make Aam Panna (raw mangoes and black salt drink) from these mangoes, which is my favourite summer beverage. Those were the days. Those were the happiest days of our lives, and while they may never return, they will always bring smiles to our faces.

Back in the day, we didn’t have the luxury of gadgets to kill time. Our only source of entertainment was the outdoors. During the summers, we would travel to nearby cities with family, play new games, and visit nearby markets with friends. I was never inclined towards academics, and seeing my father, I always knew that drama was something I liked and would want to pursue. Hence, I would always wait for my summer vacation to travel with my father to watch skits and plays. On the days I was at home, I was never literally at home (laughs), and I would be playing outside with my friends.
