Shab-e-Baraat, the fifteenth night of Islamic month Shaabaan which coincides with Holi, is a night of forgiveness. Nazeer Akbarabadi, 18th century Urdu poet, wrote extensively about our syncretic culture, which is manifested in Indian festivals, like Holi and Diwali.
