Ram Mandir In Canada Defaced With Anti-India Graffiti Ans Anti-Modi Slogans

The miscreants wrote slogans like 'Declare Modi Terrorist (BBC)', 'Sant Bhindrawala is martyr' and 'Hindustan Murdabad'.

In yet another anti-Modi hate spree, a Ram Mandir in Canada's Mississauga was defaced with anti-India graffiti and controversial slogans on Tuesday.

The miscreants wrote slogans like 'Declare Modi Terrorist (BBC)', 'Sant Bhindrawala is martyr' and 'Hindustan Murdabad'.

Condemning the act, the Consulate General of India said, "We strongly condemn the defacing of Ram Mandir in Missisauga with anti-India graffiti. We have requested Canadian authorities to investigate the incident and take prompt action on perpetrators."

Patrick Brown, the mayor of Brampton, said that the act was a potential hate crime and the authorities were taking the matter very seriously.

However, this is not the first time that a temple is being attacked and vandalised by anti-India groups. Earlier in February, Indian-origin Member of Parliament in Canada, Chandra Arya, condemned the attack on Shri Gauri Shankar Mandir in Canada's Brampton and raised the issue of ‘hate-crime’ in the Canadian parliament.

He said, "The attack of Gauri Shankar Mandir in Brampton is latest in attacks on Hindu temples in Canada by anti-Hindu and anti-India groups. From hatred on social media, now physical attacks on Hindu temples, what next? I call on govt at levels in Canada to start taking this seriously."
