A bridge–tunnel system, the world's longest cross-sea project, a total length of 55 kilometers (34 miles), which consists of a series of three cable-stayed bridges and one undersea tunnel, as well as 2 artificial islands. Costing $20 billion, this 35-mile-long bridge connects Hong Kong and Macau to Zhuhai on the Chinese mainland.
