The UK’s opposition Labour Party was branded “divisive” and “anti-India” by Indian diaspora groups after a party leaflet for a by-election in northern England used an image of PM Narendra Modi. The leaflet shows Modi in a handshake with Conservative Party PM Boris Johnson at the G7 Summit in 2019 with the message, “Don’t risk a Tory MP who is not on your side.”

Delhi Police have registered an FIR against Twitter for allegedly allowing access to child pornography on the platform. This comes after a ­parliamentary panel asked Twitter to explain why it blocked access of ­Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and Congress MP Shashi Tharoor to their accounts last week.

India’s drug regulator has ­permitted Mumbai-based Cipla to import ­Moderna’s Covid vaccine for restricted emergency use. Moderna’s vaccine will be the fourth Covid jab to be available in India after Covishield, Covaxin and ­Sputnik. The health ministry says 57.68 lakh doses of vaccines were administered a day, on an average, in India.
