Air India, Rats!

The rush to privatise national carrier Air India is likened to a rat up a drainpipe. It’s another matter that a mouse actually got an AI flight grounded for almost 12 hours in Varanasi. The aircraft was taxing on the runway on R-Day when passengers saw a rat on board. Takeoff was aborted. The rat race to find the vermin ended with a spray of pesticide. Still, dead or alive, it couldn’t be found. Now, AI doesn’t have just one hole that a mouse can be quickly taken.
