Vivo V20 Is Stunningly Irresistible

From a technologically backward state to a nation with most number of mobile phones, India has come a long way. 

In India, to find a smartphone is really a very challenging task because most of the companies manufacture almost similar phones. However, Vivo has been a leader ever since they started making extremely brilliant phones with a powerful processor.

To buy a phone in the mid-range segment, the bigger challenge is maintaining a balance between price and performance. With its latest phone- V20, Vivo has tried to put together a well-balanced smartphone that meets the needs of people. 

I personally liked the appearance of the phone which is stunningly irresistible.
Vivo V20 looks a niche phone which is obviously not for a user who handles phones roughly. With aluminum sides and a glass back, V20 is one of the slimmest smartphones you can find in this price segment (Around 25K).

Like newer phones of today, Vivo V20 follows the contemporary style, though it comes with a dew drop-style notch that feels little outdated now in comparison to the punch-hole camera cutout.

Performance and battery
It has Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 720G processor paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB expandable storage. Although the chipset isn’t as powerful as the Snapdragon 765G, it’s still fast.

I was happy with the battery life on the V20. The 4000mAh battery lasted a full day when connecting the phone to Wi-Fi (Since I am working from home I have turned off 4G on the phone). That was when I primarily used the phone for watching YouTube videos, browsing the internet, playing games, listening to music on Spotify, and checking emails. I think the battery should last a bit longer under normal use. The phone also ships with a 33W charger that fills the battery from zero to 100 per cent in less than an hour.

The gaming expereince on the phone is an optical pleasure.  I have never enjoyed playing NFS on any phone but V20. 

Camera
The V20 got three cameras on the back. The setup consists of a 64 MP main sensor, an 8MP 120-degree wide-angle camera, a 2MP monochrome sensor. Then there is a camera on the front: a 44MP “Eye Autofocus” selfie shooter. The photo quality and resolution is just superb, be it a daylight or photos in the night mode, V20 never disappoints you. The selfie camera also is so powerful and vivid that will help you to destress, if you are planning to go for a weekend holiday. 

The Vivo V20 definitely produces decent photos, especially in bright light, but more trying scenarios, especially at night, tend to reveal its warts, especially the lack of OIS anywhere.

Software
For the longest time, Vivo’s Funtouch OS has been extremely wonderful. Heavily modified and full of preloaded apps, a.k.a, bloatware, the custom Android experience has been regarded in a less than positive light. however, the company made drastic changes and I am definitely fan of this new thing being introduced. 

The Vivo V20 is undoubtedly a solid machine which meets all the basic needs of smartphone users. It has an eye-catching design, at least on the back, and has a confident and comfortable feel in one's hand.

I must say that Vivo V20 is definitely going to be the leader of this segment.
