With an eclectic cast, director M A Nishad is back in the game with his new movie. Titled ‘Iyer In Arabia’, the movie promises to be a sarcastic family treat. The teaser of the film was dropped recently, and fans are excited about it.
The 1:01 minute long teaser of ‘Iyer In Arabia’ revolves opens with a fun shot. Actor Mukesh is playing the role of Sreenivasan Iyer in the film. He asks a man to address him by his full name – Sreenivasan Iyer. He tells him that many people are named Sreenivasan around him, including actor Sreenivasan. He adds that his surname is unique and apparently, he is the only one in town with this surname. As the trailer progresses, we find that a man named Iyer is moving from Dubai to Kerala for a few months. This gives a glimpse of the confusion that will ensue.

What works best for the trailer is how light-hearted the plot is. There has been a constant onslaught of movies that are violent or dramatic. It has been long since the audience received a clean comedy movie to devour. The plot is simple, and this is helpful. When it comes to comedy, a simple plot can do wonders rather than having a mix of sub-plots that aren’t effectively tied up in the end.
