Prasanth Varma Announces 'HanuMan' Sequel On Ram Mandir Pran Prathistha Day

'HanuMan' starring Teja Sajja as the lead is successfully running in theatres. Directed by Prasanth Varma, the superhero action movie has received lots of love from all across the nation. On January 22, on the auspicious occasion of the Ram Mandir Pran Prathistha ceremony, Prasanth announced 'HanuMan' sequel. The next instalment is titled 'Jai Hanuman'. To note that, 'HanuMan' marks the beginning of the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU).

On Monday, Prasanth Varma took to his X account (formerly known as Twitter) to share the news that the pre-production of 'Jai Hanuman' has started. He wrote, "With gratitude for the immense love and support showered upon #HanuMan from audiences across the globe, I stand at the threshold of a new journey by making a promise to myself! #JaiHanuman Pre-Production Begins on the auspicious day of Ram Mandir Pran Prathistha'' and added folded hands emoticon.

He also shared a poster of 'Jai Hanuman' that had the words- “Ram Mandir Pran Prathistha Jai Hanuman begins…” In another pic, Prasanth was seen dressed in a traditional outfit and he was holding the script in front of a Lord Hanuman temple.

Apart from Teja Sajja, 'HanuMan' also stars Amritha Aiyer, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and Vinay Rai in the lead roles. It has taken the box office by storm and has already earned over Rs 100 crore at the worldwide box office. The Telugu-language superhero film, written by Prashanth Varma is set in the fictional village of Anjanadri.

For those unaware, during the pre-release event of the film, the makers had announced that they would donate Rs 5 for every ticket sold to the Ram Mandir. They have already donated a cheque of Rs 14,85,810 from the 2,97,162 tickets sold during the film's premieres. They will also donate Rs 2,66,41,055, from the 53,28,211 tickets sold.
