NorthEast United yet again started on a high only to share points via a late goal. Alaaeddine Ajaraie once again shined bright for the Highlanders as his brace helped the visitors take the lead twice. However, both the times, the Blues found the net to square off things.

Ajaraie scored twice within the first 14 minutes of the match to take his season's tally to 11. The Moroccan's first goal of the evening saw him becoming the fastest player to reach the mark of 10 goals in an ISL season (in eight matches).

However, between Ajaraie's sixth and 14th minute strikes, Alberto Noguera scored from long range to give Blues their first goal.

The Highlanders went into the break with a 2-1 lead and began the second half with another spell of attacking football. Gurpreet Singh Sandhhu-led Bengaluru defence stood tall to deny NorthEast and soon the Blues' forward line found its rhythm.

Substitue Ryan Williams scored with his first touch to find the much-anticipated equaliser for Bengaluru FC in the 70th minute. He slotted the ball home from Mohammed Salah’s cross to bring the Blues right back into the game.

Bengaluru FC now have 17 points from eight games and remain top of the Indian Super League points table. The Blues will go into the intenational break as the top team on the table. NorthEast United FC, on the other hand, jump to third spot with 12 points from eight games.
